You know, i'm not really a big fan of chain restaurants, so I usually overlook this place, because I fear it will be boring and predictable, but seriously, this place doesn't disappoint. After being given a gift card for this restaurant group (Outback, Carrabas, & Bonefish are all available in our area), we opted to use it for Bonefish. Being new parents, the rare occasion for date night is a big deal too, and this place far exceeded our expectations. First of all, our server, Mike, was awesome. He had great recommendations to offer without being pushy, and we took them, because he seemed sincere, and really friendly, and they didn't disappoint. From the wine selection to the (off the menu) Razz topping for my Grouper, each recco he gave was stellar. We ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer, which was awesome. A bed of greens with fried shrimp on top dressed with a perfect spicy mayonnaise-y sauce that'll make your nose run and leave you wanting more. My husband ordered the monkfish, which was a first and loved it. Mike said they feed on lobster, so they kind of taste like lobster, and it didn't disappoint. As I mentioned, I ordered the Grouper with the "Razz" toping, which included lump crab meat, tomatoes and spinach. It was a little piece of heaven. In between courses Mike brought us some complimentary Crab chowder, which was just fantastic, and oh-so nice of him. We'd definitely recommend going. We'll be back. And we'll definitely ask to sit in Mike's section again!

Bonefish Grill is like a fancier Red Lobster. Here are the pros: 1. Nice, solid fish selection with several options for preparation. Pan Asian is my fav. 2. Food always tastes great and the specials are always interesting. 3. Excellent appetizers - especially the bang bang shrimp. Even the lettuce is great in that appetizer. 4. Great service - I've never had bad, unprofessional service here. And I've been here many a time. 5. Bathrooms are always clean - MAJOR PLUS! You can always tell the cleanliness of a restaurant by how clean their restrooms are. Here are the cons: 1. Sub-par non-seafood selection. Yes, it's a seafood place but... if you go there with friends and you aren't that into seafood, you have really limited options. Really limited. Like you have 3 things to pick from. And they aren't that healthy. 2. Parking is a pain in the butt, but you can park at the neighboring 5/3rd lot. 3. The revolving door is terrifying - it's completely blacked out and it feels like it's swallowing you alive for a brief few seconds. 4. Smallish dining area which means longish wait. Even if you go in the middle of the week. 5. They don't give you crayons anymore to draw on the paper on your table. Major bummer. The servers used to write their names on the end of the table on that paper and leave the crayons for customers to doodle with while they waited for food. I've never sat at the bar or had a drink from Bonefish so I'm not sure how that service is there. I have dined with people who have ordered drinks, though, and they always seemed very pleased with their choice and noted that the drinks were a little strong - which means a good value at least. Overall, if you go, I highly recommend doing call ahead (you'll probably still have to wait though) or get a reservation. Just stick with the seafood since the non-seafood choices aren't that great and definitely get the bang bang shrimp.

We were at the restaurant early on a Thursday thus there were very few customers. We were promptly seated and our water was there almost instantly. The menu is extensive plus there a re specials. We both ordered the tilapia with mine being blackened and my souses being grilled. Both came out perfect and were nice pieces of fish. Served with french greens beans which were delicious. The other plate had broccoli which too was cooked just perfectly. The waiter was very attentive and our drink glasses were always being topped off. This was an excellent ding experience this evening. The restaurant is very nice inside.

Bang bang shrimp was delicious appetizer. I ordered a mule the candied ginger inside was a treat. The food is a bit over priced for the amount of seafood given. And everything is served on a bed of lettuce really strange. The lobster was good but the meat was a touch on the near expired side not the fresh bite you'd expect for $17 bucks. But our waitress was the absolute best!

Today was the greatest experience! Our server's name was Caleb and my family and I could not have asked for better service. In all my dining experience, today I had the best service, hospitality, and accommodation. The quality of our food; to the kitchen staff; is superb even during a busy diner shift. Upon leaving I had the dishonor of being seated next to a "45" year old white man and his date who slipped a rubber band into the bottom of their chowder after eating their full meal. They asked to speak with a manager. Once the management apologized sincerely for their experience, she stated how their meal would be comped. The 45 year old continued to elaborate a fictitious story with nervous body language about how in "all his years" he's never seen this happen. While explaining his story to management, his date with nervous body language as well avoided all eye contact, not acknowledging the conversation and allowing her partner in crime to continue their deceitful fairytale. Upon leaving this circumstance was unfolding. I immediately informed my server of what had happened. I was an eyewitness to every action that took place during this encounter. I thank the staff genuinely for their great serve and passion to provide excellent service in spite of deceit. You made my families vacation more than wonderful. God bless you all in your endeavors! Sincerely, James

Awesome service from the hostess to the manager! I've been to Bonefish in FL numerous times but my husband had never been. Unfortunately he neglected to tell them to cook his Kobe beef burger medium and it came out well done and even though we freely admitted it was his error the manager comped his burger. I had the Bang Bang Shrimp Eggs Benedict and it was AMAZING!!! I chose the scalloped potatoes to go with it and was not disappointed. Everything was seasoned perfectly, this from someone who usually salts everything especially potatoes. The bread they served before with dipping oil was delicious! We will be back!!! The servers were attentive with refills too!

This Bonefish location is light years ahead of the Norwood location, so if you've had a questionable experience there, please give Crescent Springs a try. Service, atmosphere and food are great. I went for dinner and loved the place and the food (shrimp and scallops) so much that I brought my boys there for Easter brunch. I've been doing the Whole30 program since February, so eating out has been quite a challenge, but the folks at Bonefish are wonderful. They were more than happy to cook my omelet in clarified butter so I could stay in compliance. I will be back over and over again!

This place is great for dinner. The selection of fish is somewhat limited but what they offer is choice. Fish and shellfish are always fresh, fresh, fresh and well prepared. Appetizers are great, especially the ahi tuna, Bang Bang shrimp and the Mussels Josephine. This location is just outstanding for Happy Hour get-togethers. Service is upbeat and attentive. the wine selection is really good and Happy Hour drink specials make it even better. Love it.

For being a chain restaurant, this place is good! Can always expect the same good fish and service is steadily good, even when they get slammed on bang bang shrimp night!

I sat at the bar for a quick dinner while I was traveling for work. Service- great! I was promptly greeted. One of the servers gave me a great recommendation to try their Mahi mahi. She also recommended trying a couple of their sauces to go with the fish on the side. I had to ask for bread and water, but other than tha t, service was excellent. Quality- House salad was a perfect start to the meal and came out very quickly. Mahi mahi was grilled just right and was not overdone! Potato au gratin was very cheesy and hearty. It was sinful. The vegetable side of the day was a mix of garbanzo beans/spinach/tomatoes and it was also unbelievable. I could have eaten a bowl of it. Overall a good dinner. I would definitely go back!

My wife and I had went here in early June for dinner and was very happy with our meal, we ordered the mussels and fish and chips, the mussels were very fresh and the fish was too, I told my wife that i thought their fish and chips were probably the best in the area. We decided this past weekend we would go back for lunch since we had such a good experience. I wanted to order a half portion of the mussels, but they don't allow that, which was fine but having the waiter spend 5 minutes explaining to me why they don't do that was a bad start, so we placed our order of the fish and chips which came in about 10 to 15 minutes, which was ok with us, but the first thing I noticed was the fish seemed a little different than the last time I had it. We determined that the fish wasn't as fresh as the last time, we luckily didn't get sick, the breading on the fish seemed undercooked too. It tasted ok but by the end of our meal we both were kind of irritated at our waiter who never refilled our drinks. So the waiter gave us the check and we paid, right afterwards he shook our hands which i found very odd and unprofessional. After we paid and got ready to leave we noticed all the other tables had got served fresh bread with butter as a complimentary that we never got as well. If you want my advice either stick to dinner only here or go elsewhere.

It was a cool November evening when I first arrived at the Bonefish Grill in Kentucky. The strain of a long day at work was prominent on my face and my five-o-clock shadow told the story of a man filled with internal strife and external responsibility. As I entered the restaraunt, I approached a podium, behind which two bashful young women resided, and requested a table for one. "Are you sure, just one?" One of the ladies asked. Yes, I was sure. I tried to make a joke of it, but this would only be the beginning of my journey to find freedom from the stigmas I would face that night. I was seated in the center of the dimly lit establishment, a nice touch to the overall ambiance that provided a warm tranquil feeling of peace, surrounded by larger tables of groups leering at my lonely disposition. The waitress approached and asked if I would like a beverage as I waited for the rest of my "party" to arrive. "The parties all here!" I said as I chuckled trying to encourage pleasant small talk. "Oh," the waitress said in an awkward manner which was polluted with undertones of judgement "we serve Coke products or I can get you something from the bar." A Coke would suffice for tonight; despite the temptation the great array of fairly priced spirits the restaurant provided. When the waitress returned, impatient and tired from what was likely the middle of a long term, I ordered two appetizers. The waitress glared at my thin, unassuming frame with exasperation. "Those are designed for groups, will a group be joining you?" she asked plainly. She knew the answer. I couldn't help but feel she was testing me; mocking me. "Do they come in individual platters?" I inquired. "No," she replied in a victorious tone. I would not back down at this. I knew I had to stay strong and resumed my original order. First came the bread, then the pile of 'Bang, Bang Shrimp', and finally the bowl of arranged muscles and vegetables. I looked at the bounty before me with longing eyes. I then noticed a small white box on the edge of the table with some crude drawing and markings on it. It was a to-go box, already prepared, assuming my failure to complete my meal designed for a "party" of diners. I now knew I had a mission before me. I began to eat all of the food which was present. It was fantastic. The flavors danced on my palette in a carefree frolic of pure joy and ecstacy. Each bite was greater than the last. Soon, I had finished the muscles. Then the shrimp. And finally the bread and Coke. The waitress returned, smug and powerful, and asked if I wanted a refill. Now was the time. I knew I needed to assert my dominance. "Yes, thank you. And could I have the desert menu?" She stared at me perplexed. "I'm sorry, I didn't want to pressure you," she attested "since you have so much left over to take home as it is." I slowly opened the box she had prepared for me to reveal it was empty. Shock, disbelief, and a twinge of horror met the waitresse's face. She knew she had been bested. My dominance had prevailed. I glanced back at the timid girls at the podium and they dared not make eye contact. "The desert menu, please." I continued. I surveyed the menu and ordered some sort of devilishly chocolate ordeal of which I can hardly remember the taste. This part of my meal was eaten out of will, not hunger. I left the restaurant with my stomach fringing damaged from overuse. Though I also left the establishment an empowered soul who bested the judgemental assaults thrust upon me by a society that rejects lone dining. Overall, I rate Bonefish Grill 4 stars. The food and atmosphere are fantastic and I'll likely dine there again. I only hope my journey and victory there will further progress destroying the unfair assumptions made toward and about parties of one.

I honestly recommend you don't eat here. I am usually very forgiving when it comes to restaurant service but this restaurant has some of the worst service I've ever experienced in my life. It took us 30 minutes to get our drinks and she hadn't even taken our orders yet. As far as the food, we left after getting our appetizer because we didn't feel like spending all night in a booth covered in paper (apparently that's their idea of a table cloth) The menu had little to no variety and nothing sounded good enough to make us stay.

Delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere. Our waitress was very helpful and courteous. I had the grilled Tilapia with steamed broccoli and Au Gratin potatoes. I also had a Caesar Salad. It was one of the best Caesar salads I have ever had. The fish was cooked perfectly as were the broccoli and potatoes. A very nice place to eat dinner.

Uninspired chain restaurant. This is the second of two visits I have made over the last two months, and again the food is tepid, over cooked and uninspired. Shrimp and scallops were over cooked last time. They put scalloped potatoes basically over the seafood, um it is called a side dish for a reason. This time the burger was over cooked and came with the incorrect sides. The fish tacos were sparse on the fish and drippy. The "truffle" mac and cheese was not worth the extra money. Also truffles aren't any part of this dish and cannot be substitiuted with portobellos. The bang bang shrimp was lukewarm and the highlight of the "dining experience" here. We noticed servers and managers taking full plates of food from the tables and yet no one boxed anything leftover to-go, what does that tell you. And like the previous reviewers, the brown butcher paper tablecloths are tacky and annoying. We will not be back.

It's priced slightly higher than Outback, but has the same dress code. Which is wear clothes, be you. You do not have to dress up to eat here. Yes it is kind of dark inside, if it really is a problem they will try to adjust for not a lot more light, but some. The bar is seat yourself. If it us on the menu, but you want it a certain way or with a sauce/style they will make it happen, some things are extra, others may make it cheaper. Ask them any question, it's not dumb to not know. It is dumb to not know and never ask. Try the bang bang, even though the muscles are by far the best. Spinach Bacon Gorganzula Style/topping is AMAZING, it isn't normally on the menu, but they always have some. It goes on whatever you want, be it steak, chicken, fish. That all to be said, service like most places Friday/Saturday is rough. Like every restraunt there are good servers and bad ones. I always ask for Allison, Erin, Shelby or Amberley odds are one of them are there and they are amazing.

Let me tell you a story about my cute older parents going out for my mother's birthday dinner here October 15, 2014. I guess the food was okay, but my father left his credit card. When he returned home he called the restaurant asking if he had, they said no. So he spent the next two hours tearing apart their car thinking he had made a mistake, it wasn't there. So the next day he went back into the restaurant to ask if perhaps it was found. The manager Nathan ate my father alive and basically did what one would call elder abuse "stupid old man" and stuff like that. My father is far from stupid, he may not walk very well anymore, but he is a CPA and still does taxes. I bet he has more degrees and intelligence than Nathan. What is wrong with people? So a day later -- guess what? The credit card was found at the restaurant and they called him to let him know-no apology no nothing. Just come get your credit card stupid old man. My sister called Nathan and told him he'd better call and apologize to them, demanded actually. He did but offered no renumeration and his apology was forced and fake. Don't let your older parents go here, until they change management. Cruelty is never an option, and they were cruel. I think they forget older folks who get abused have children who will defend them! Why do they allow people so judgy to be in the service industry?

Our server was okay and the food was very good... If only we had a better atmosphere. We were told there was a 15 minute wait. It was twice that. Meanwhile, nicely, a girl came around with a plate of Bang-Bang Shrimp. However, when my 10-yr-old son politely but obviously stood and waited his turn to have one, the girl absolutely ignored him and was quite clear she didn't think he deserved it because he was a kid. She walked away right to his face. So I walked over and took one from her and handed it to him with a loud, "here you go Jack, you were very polite and she was not." The hostesses were rude and seem to hate their jobs. They shouldn't make it so apparent. We were expecting to sit in the main dining room and were shocked to be circled around through that dining room and back to the bar area where we had been waiting before... to a booth in the bar section directly next to the kitchen with its noise and hustle and bustle. Next time we might as well go to TGI Friday's.

We went to Bonefish for the first time ever last night on our way to a Christmas Party.... I was pleasantly suprised. The place was PACKED but we were able to sit down at one of the "group" high top tables in the bar area right away. Apparently they reserve 1/3 of the restaurant for reservations and the other 2/3 for walk ins. The bang bang shrimp was really good and and a pretty generous portion. We split an entree and they cooked and plated it separately which I appreciated. Service was also good- although I am still confused as to why all the waiters and waitresses wear chef coats....

My husband and I had dinner at the Butermilk Pike Bonefish last night. We had two of the specials and the calamari appetizer. The food was well prepared. This review, however, is really about the service. Mike was wonderful. He knew just how often to stop by and just what to offer. He was also very knowledgeable about ingredients in the dishes and what made each unique. Also, we sat right by the kitchen. It was like watching a ballet. people were constantly zooming in and out, never quite running into each other. The staff all treated one another thoughtfully, making sure that the entry mat stayed in place, picking up after one another. My favorite touch was just after we placed our orders and were finished reading, one of the waitstaff lowered the light level making it more intimate. All in all, a great evening, Thank you all.

First time at Bonefish Grill today; there for a family event - 12 people. The service was very good; servers were well trained on the menu including beverages and daily specials. However, I considered them a bit pushy, trying multiple times (4x or more) to entice us into appetizers. Several of the group took the bait. They were pretty good. The Ahi Tuna was good but not outstanding. I thought the tuna was over-sauced. The tuna flavor should come through but the sauces masked it somewhat. Entrees were quite tasty. I had the Bang Bang Tacos with spring mix greens; both were very nice. My wife had a chicken dish which was wood-cooked. It was good but had a slight fish taste. Perhaps the grill needs a good cleaning? Other entrees I tasted included the crab cakes (good) and fish tacos (not shrimp) which were very good. Finally, I was a bit put off by the servers who hinted (strongly) that an extra gratuity beyond the pre-added (albeit adjustable) 18% was encouraged and appreciated. Overall, I was pretty satisfied and would be inclined to return in the future.

I had eaten at the Bonefish Grill in Franklin, TN and was very impressed. That made this location even more of a disappointment. I sat at the bar as I was traveling alone. The bartender provided adequate service but the dinner (salmon) was terrible for a restaurant that specializes in fish and seafood. I will be very wary of other Bonefish locations after this experience.
